The First Officer Ahn K. Ho - Women in Aviation Endowment

In honor of First Officer Anh K. Ho, our mission is to help enable women (especially women of color) who identify as female to pursue their private pilot license with their intentions to pursue their career as an U.S.- based commercial airline pilot. This is a rolling application for up to $18,000 for each aspiring female pilot.

The goal is to fully fund the completion of your private pilot license. We welcome applicants with little or no experience and individuals that are already in the process of obtaining their hours. You are not the right fit if you have already completed your private pilot license.

For more information, eligibility criteria, and application, please visit Fly High Ahn’s Website or find the link in the Scholarship tab.

Pursuing a career in aviation can be a long and costly pursuit. At PAPA, we strive to ensure that no qualified individual who aspires to become an aviation professional has to give up on their dream, solely because of financial reasons.

In 2021, we awarded over $500,000 in scholarships to PAPA members, and over $550,000 in 2022. We usually open most scholarships in conjunction with the celebration of the Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage month. Anyone can apply as long as they are a PAPA member and meet the criteria outlined by the sponsoring partner. Most scholarships will be paid directly towards the recipient’s institution.
